Objective To observe the applied effect of multidimensional joint pain management in patients with long bone fractures. Methods Seventy-six cases of long bone fractures in our hospital were randomly divided into the observation group (38 cases) and the control group (38 cases). The control group was managed by conventional pain management, and the observation group was managed by multidimensional joint pain management. The patients’ pain care satisfaction in two patients was investigated by the Chinese version of the Houston outcome instrument (HPQI). Before and after the pain management intervention, the coping styles in the two groups were investigated by the trait coping style questionnaire (TCSQ). Results The satisfaction rate of pain control perception, pain education status and overall satisfaction of pain care in the observation group were 89.47%, 94.74% and 100.00% respectively, significantly higher than in the control group (60.53%, 68.42% and 65.79%, P<0.05 for all). After the intervention of pain management, the average positive coping score was significantly higher, and the average negative coping score was significantly lower in the observation group than that in the control group (P<0.05 for all). Conclusion The application of multidimensional joint pain management in patients with long bone fracture can effectively relieve the pain and signs of patients, improve the satisfaction degree of pain nursing, and promote the patients to deal with the disease more actively.
